Alexander Dombrowsky is a Board Certified Criminal Trial Attorney. Certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. He is considered an "expert" by The Florida Bar in criminal trial law, something less than one percent of all attorneys in Florida can say. 

Alex has tried to verdict cases ranging from misdemeanor Petit Theft all the way to First Degree Murder.  He has worked as a prosecutor in the Miami-Dade County State Attorney's Office as legal intern certified by the Supreme Court of Florida. He has also worked as an Assistant Public Defender.

Alex carries his expertise in criminal litigation into the civil litigation arena in joining Penson, P.A.  In addition to criminal defense, he focuses on general civil litigation, construction law litigation, foreclosure defense, and bankruptcy law.    

Alex is a Florida Bar member in good standing. He is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts as well as the Federal District Courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of Florida. He is a board member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, former Tallahassee Chapter President of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a board member for the Tallahassee Bar Association, an alumnus member of the William Stafford Inns of Court, and alumnus of Leadership Tallahassee Class XXII. Additionally, he has published articles in The Florida Defender, the publication of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, as well as the University of Miami Law Review.

When he is not fighting for his clients, he enjoys spending time practicing martial arts.  He holds a black belt in Taekwondo and is currently studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
